Barrel Aged Oyster Stout

Remember that export strength Oyster Stout brewed 2023 ? Well we tucked away 64 litres in an ex Speyside whisky cask, which once held Oloroso sherry. And now it’s sitting beautiful and proud in shiny, wax dipped 750ml bottles.
The beer lay in the compact octave cask for just shy of a year, drying it out and building up complexity. Now sitting at 7.5% you get an array of dried fruit characteristics, marzipan aromatics and a persistent oaky undertone.
As our first ever barrel aged beer release we are so excited to share it with you all. Drink now or age up to five years if not a wee bit longer.
Brewed with Loch Fyne and Isle of Gigha oyster shells, and single origin cacao husks. Expect intense Oloroso scents and a roasted, rich and dry finish with a touch of salt.
